Janus Henderson Australia has hired a former Paragon Funds Management head of distribution to the position of retail sales director.
David Livera makes the move to Janus Henderson after roles at Paragon Funds Management and eight years as a senior business development manager at Challenger. His position will cover Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania.
Janus Henderson Australia head of distribution Matt Gaden said Mr Livera had a “strong reputation for raising assets”.
“David is highly regarded in the Victorian market and we believe David’s extensive experience in funds management will contribute to our established national distribution team at Janus Henderson,” Mr Gaden said.
“In the last couple of years our Australian business has seen steady growth, resulting in solid net inflows in the retail channel.
“A key element of this success has been the ability of our retail sales directors to engage with their respective markets effectively.”
He added that the retail distribution team has also been further expanded with a promotion.
“Byron Slessar has been promoted from business development associate to retail sales director for New South Wales and ACT,” Mr Gaden said.
