Packer family-backed Contango Asset Management has announced the promotion of one of its analysts to the role of portfolio manager for small cap strategies.

Richard Ivers first joined Contango in January 2016 as a senior investment analyst and deputy portfolio manager for small caps, working under Contango’s senior portfolio manager Bill Laister.

Prior to joining Contango, Mr Ivers was a portfolio manager at River Capital and a research analyst at Ord Minnett.

According to Contango’s managing director and chief investment officer George Boubouras, Mr Ivers’ promotion says a lot about his hard work and dedication to the company during the past two years.
