In his new role, Alphinity said that Mr Willcocks would be responsible for industrials sector investments in the $7 billion Alphinity Global Equity Fund.

“Chris brings a wide-ranging knowledge and experience of global equities to our growing team, and he has been a key, collaborative partner to us at Alphinity Global since we launched our funds over six years ago,” said Alphinity global portfolio manager Jonas Palmqvist.

“We are looking forward to him making a major contribution to our co-portfolio manager model.”

Within Alphinity’s global portfolio management team, Ms Manning currently focuses on consumer discretionary and communication services and Mr Masters focuses on technology, while Jeff Thomson covers financials, staples and real estate.

The firm noted that the Alphinity Global Equity Fund had returned 14.7 per cent per annum after fees between its inception in December 2015 through to the end of last month, above the 13.1 per cent return for its benchmark MSCI World Net Total Return Index (AUD).
