Zip appoints Australian chief product officer

The buy now, pay later company has confirmed a new member to its ANZ leadership team.

Zip confirmed that Travis Tyler will join as its new Australian chief product officer from 17 January in Sydney where he will lead the local products strategy end-to-end across Zip’s product, design and product marketing teams.

“I am thrilled to welcome Travis into the ZipFam,” ANZ managing director Cynthia Scott said.

“He is an incredibly accomplished leader with an impressive track record across product and marketing in the financial services and fintech industry.

“His experience will be invaluable in helping drive Zip’s products in Australia to create an even better experience for our customers, merchants and partners.”

Among the senior roles Mr Tyler held includes founding member and chief product and marketing officer at Australia’s first smartbank, 86 400, as well as positions at Westpac and St George.

He is also a non-executive director for the Australian network on disability.

“I am excited to be joining one of Australia’s fastest-growing brands that has already changed the way people pay for the better,” Mr Tyler said.
