ANZ announces institutional bank senior appointments

ANZ has announced five senior appointments within its institutional bank team.

The bank’s head of corporate banking, Michael Rose, has been named in the newly created position of head of sales, institutional Australia. Based in Brisbane, Mr Rose will be responsible for driving relationship and business growth.

Taking over Mr Rose’s position will be Simone Tilley who most recently held the role of head of retail broker distribution for Australia retail and commercial at ANZ.

Ms Tilley will be based in Melbourne and report to managing director Tammy Medard.

Paul Richards – ANZ’s head of structured export finance and renewables – will take on the position of head of resources, energy and infrastructure, corporate finance, in Sydney from Paul Orton who was appointed group general manager of internal audit, in June.

Meanwhile, Michelle Sichlau will take on the new role of head of business development for corporate finance in December from Plenary Group.

Ms Sichlau, who will be based in Sydney, has more than 15 years of experience in originating, structuring, negotiating, executing and managing structured finance transactions and assets.

Finally, Michael Peric will join ANZ from Bank of Queensland in the role of global head of balance sheet trading.

Mr Peric, who led BOQ’s financial markets and trade finance, will also remain in Sydney.
