CFS appoints new board member

Colonial First State has announced the appointment of a new director to its board.

Jo-Anne Bloch, who recently served as executive director of Mercer Australia and Mercer Financial Advice, will join the CFS board as an independent non-executive director.

Ms Bloch, who is also currently an ASFA director, previously held a number of senior executive roles through the finance industry including chief executive and board director of the FPA from 2006 to 2010. 

“Jo-Anne brings a wealth of experience to CFS,” acting chair of CFS’ trustee boards, Greg Cooper, said.

“She is a results-orientated senior executive and director who has successfully led cross-functional, high-performance teams across a broad range of businesses in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

“Her appointment also reflects our commitment to diversity on our boards, something that we are continually striving to improve at all levels throughout the organisation.”
