Morningstar has appointed a new director of manager research ratings for the Australasian region.

Annika Bradley has taken the job, succeeding Aman Ramrakha. She will lead Morningstar’s qualitative research on Australian and New Zealand fund managers and their strategies, as well as manage the firm’s research team and take ownership of research outcomes.

Meanwhile, Mr Ramrakha is transitioning to a more client-oriented role as director of manager selection services, working alongside Tim Murphy and Matt Wilkinson.

Jamie Wickham, chief executive of Morningstar Australasia, commented: “This move will allow us to support the continued growth of our manager research client base and our strategic desire to grow both our research subscription and research advisory business.

“We are very pleased to have Aman and now Annika appointed to their new roles. We’re seeing more demand for client facing activity to support the implementation of our manager research, including APL management and model construction and Annika’s appointment as ratings head further boost the depth and experience of our research leadership team.”

Ms Bradley is currently engaged as an independent financial services consultant with Lodrino, providing investment consulting and management services across investment and wealth management businesses.

She is currently co-deputy chair, director of the Certified Investment Management Analysts (CIMA Society) of Australia and has directly worked with Morningstar throughout her career using Morningstar Direct and the Adviser Research Centre.
