Fidelity International has appointed an experienced finance executive to head up its sustainable investing function.

Gabriel Wilson-Otto will step into the new role of director of sustainable investing, working alongside the firm’s “large research function” and with responsibility for further integrating sustainability considerations into its investment process.  He will be based in Hong Kong, and report to global head of stewardship Jenn-Hui Tan.

“As we continue to expand our ESG capabilities and integration across the firm, I am delighted to have Gabriel join our growing team. He brings deep industry expertise in ESG research and stewardship, which will be a great asset to Fidelity,” Ms Tan said.

“Gabriel will play an important part in helping the Sustainable Investing function identify long-term sustainable investment trends and strategic opportunities for our clients.”
