MTAA deputy chief to lead AvSuper

The aviation industry super fund has named a new chief, as its former boss has departed after 13 years at the helm. 

Michelle Wade is departing AvSuper, after being chief executive for more than a decade. 

Michael Sykes, who is currently deputy CEO for MTAA Super will replace Ms Wade, commencing in the role from April. He reportedly has more than 25 years’ experience across banking, insurance and superannuation. 

Nick Smith, AvSuper’s executive manager, has been appointed acting CEO until Mr Sykes starts.
