Investment firm Milford has named a new head of sustainable investments and a senior analyst for its Australian equities team.

Marissa Rossi has become the firm’s new head of sustainable investments, after joining the firm in July last year.

Ms Rossi previously spent 17 years at UBS Asset Management, where she held the roles of senior analyst, head of research and lead portfolio manager for the firm’s sustainable Australian equities portfolio.

Milford chief investment officer Wayne Gentle commented she will be tasked with further developing Milford’s sustainable investment framework.

“This includes working with the investment team to further strengthen the integration of ESG factors into our investment process,” Mr Gentle said.

Meanwhile, Jason Kururangi has joined Milford as a new senior analyst on the Australian equities team, having spent eight years at Aberdeen Standard Investments in Australia and the UK.

Mr Kururangi will be working with portfolio managers William Curtayne and Mr Gentle on the Milford Australian Absolute Growth Fund.

“We are thrilled to have recruited an investor of Jason’s calibre,” Mr Gentle said.

“He is an experienced analyst and portfolio manager with a strong track record and clear focus on disciplined investment processes. His appointment further strengthens our high performing investment team.”
