Vanguard makes executive appointment

Vanguard has appointed a new risk management head as it broadens its push into Australia.

Curt Jacques has been appointed head of risk management and will join the Australian executive team following a “comprehensive recruitment process”. Mr Jacques will be based in Sydney. 

“Kurt’s appointment further adds to the depth of skills and knowledge of the team at Vanguard Australia as we continue the steady journey of building presence and earning greater trust with more direct investors and financial advisers,” said Australia managing director Frank Kolimago.

Mr Jacques joins Vanguard from Macquarie Group, where he was division director for risk transformation, and brings nearly 20 years of risk expertise to the role. He has also held risk management positions at PwC. 

Mr Jacques has a B.S. in business administration from Babson College and holds chartered professional accountant, certified information systems auditor and project management professional certifications.

Mr Jacques commences on 18 November 2020.
