MyState hires banking head

Banking and wealth management group MyState Limited has appointed Tony MacRae as general manager of its banking division, to start in the role from early 2019.

Mr MacRae will lead MyState’s banking division, which includes retail, call centres, business and agri-business and the mortgage broker channel. 

“We are delighted to welcome Tony to our executive team,” Melos Sulicich, managing director and CEO of MyState said.

“Tony brings with him a wealth of experience in the banking sector and extensive and proven record for strategic execution and transformational growth.”

Previously, Mr MacRae held the position of national general manager of retail home ownership distribution at Westpac, where he was responsible for Westpac’s physical and digital sales.

Prior to this, he held other positions with the RAMS/Westpac group including acting CEO of RAMS and general manager, third party distribution for Westpac’s ongoing mortgage broker distribution initiatives.

Mr MacRae has also held senior roles with PMI and Virgin Money.
