CPA announces new chief executive

CPA Australia has announced a permanent replacement for former chief executive Alex Malley, whose contract was terminated in June 2017.

Andrew Hunter, the managing director of the Export Finance and Insurance Corporation, has been named as the new chief executive for CPA Australia.

Mr Hunter is the permanent replacement for Alex Malley, who was sacked in June 2017.

The new chief executive, who has also held executive positions at Macquarie, will have his annual base remuneration set at $650,000 – significantly below Mr Malley's $1.8 million salary.

Mr Malley also received a payout of $4.9 million when he was terminated in June 2017.

Interim chief executive and former CPA secretary Adam Awty has been made redundant and will receive a payout of $843,446.
