Matthew Coleman makes the move to APN Property Group from Jones Lang LaSalle where he worked as an analyst in the corporate consulting division.
Mr Coleman, who has also worked at UBS, will begin in his new analyst role at APN on 14 June.
He will join the AREIT and Asian REIT teams made up of Michael Doble, Pete Morrissey, Mark Mazzarella, Corrine Ng and Anyu Tan.
APN real estate chief executive Michael Doble described Mr Coleman as a "key appointment" that will "help drive for superior outcomes for investors".
"Recent growth in the business with our first significant wholesale mandate means that we need to strengthen the team and this appointment does that," Mr Doble said.
