Westpac Institutional Bank names head of Qld

The institutional banking division of Westpac has appointed a new head of its Queensland business.

Former BNP Paribas managing director of corporate coverage Richard Green has been appointed in the role.

Mr Green will be responsible for managing the ongoing delivery of the institutional bank’s customer engagement strategies to grow its presence in Queensland.

WIB general manager of corporate and institutional banking Andrew McDonald said: “Westpac is constantly pursuing ways we can grow our Queensland business to better serve our customers’ needs.”

“Richard’s experience in the Queensland market and focus on deepening customer relationships will further support our strong position in Queensland.

“His strong corporate and institutional banking background, sound credit skills and judgement will support the institutional bank’s position as we continue to build on our sustained growth and profitability,” he said.

Mr Green has also held positions with Commonwealth Bank of Australia and ABN AMRO.
