AMP Capital has appointed two new members to its global infrastructure debt team in London.

In a statement released by AMP Capital, the financial service provider said it has appointed Roopa Murthy as a director of the team and Giles Gray as an associate.

“Both Ms Murthy and Mr Gray will be focused on supporting the investment origination and management capabilities of the infrastructure debt team in the European market,” a statement from AMP Capital said.

Prior to joining the team, Ms Murthy previously worked with Credit Agricole’s energy and infrastructure team.

Mr Gray joins the team having previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers UK’s corporate finance infrastructure advisory team.

AMP Capital also said Emma Haight-Cheng, who joined the London office as a director in March 2014, has been promoted to the role of principal.

“I’m delighted to welcome [Ms Murthy] and [Mr Gray] to AMP Capital and also to promote [Ms Haight-Cheng] to the senior role in our European team,” AMP Capital head of infrastructure debt Andrew Jones said.

“Interest in infrastructure debt continues to grow and we have a strong pipeline of investment opportunities.

“The depth we now have in our London team means we are even better placed to capitalise on those opportunities for our global clients,” Mr Jones said.
