State Street Corporation has made a number of management changes in the Asia-Pacific part of its global business.

Ian Martin, who has spent the past 21 years with State Street in Australia, will soon relocate to Hong Kong following his appointment as head of State Street Global Markets and State Street Global Exchange for Asia-Pacific.

Mr Martin has performed his current role in State Street’s investment servicing business, State Street Global Services for Australia, South Asia and the Pacific and his role as head of Global Markets for Australia and New Zealand since the beginning of 2011.

He first joined State Street in 1993 as treasury manager of the Sydney branch.

Chris Taylor will replace Mr Martin in his current role and will have the responsibility for the overall strategy, product development and client relationships for the Global Services and Global Markets business in Australia.

He has been at State Street for a total of 25 years and held a variety of roles across State Street’s Sydney, Tokyo, London and Hong Kong offices.

State Street Asia-Pacific head of Global Services and Global Markets Wai Kwong Seck said the appointments are part of a “broader regional configuration producing greater alignment across core businesses and within senior level management to better address the challenges clients are facing”.
