BNP Paribas IP appoints institutional business CEO

BNP Paribas Investment Partners has appointed David Kiddie as the chief executive of BNP IP’s institutional business.

Mr Kiddie will take over the role from Philippe Marchessaux, who currently manages the institutional business line in addition to his duties as BNP Paribas IP chief executive.

Before joining BNP Paribas IP, Mr Kiddie spent over four years as chief investment officer at AMP Capital Investors.

Prior to that he was the chief investment officer at ABN AMRO Asset Management.

According to a statement by BNP Paribas IP, Mr Kiddie’s appointment is part of a strategic plan to further develop BNP Paribas IP’s institutional franchise (which is headquartered in London).

Mr Marchessaux said he was “proud to entrust the leadership of our institutional business line to David”.

“David brings deep knowledge of the institutional world, a proven track record in driving investment excellence and experience in working in a multi-cultural environment,” said Mr Marchessaux.

“I fully trust he will accelerate the development of our institutional franchise across the globe,” he added.

Mr Kiddie said: “I look forward to building upon the key strengths of its investment teams and to further develop the institutional business by capitalising on its significant footprint and brand.”
