UBS Global Asset Management has appointed Tracey McNaughton as head of investment strategy in Australia.

In her new role as a senior member of the UBS Global Asset Management Australasia team, Ms McNaughton will be responsible for Australian economic and investment research, an important component of Global Investment Solutions’ (GIS) multi-asset strategies. She will also be joining the Australian Investment Committee.

Global head strategist for GIS Stefan Lecher said there had been significant progress with clients for their absolute return, multi-asset and risk solutions and their tactical beta funds recently launched in Australia.

“This appointment strengthens GIS resourcing in this key market to reflect our growing pool of assets and we are delighted to welcome Tracey to Global Asset Management,” said Mr Lecher.

Ms McNaughton was previously a senior investment specialist at Colonial First State. She has 18 years of investment experience over a number of investment specialist and economist roles at Baillie Gifford, BT Investment Management, Westpac Investment Management and Credit Suisse First Boston.
