ANZ has made two new appointments to its global wealth leadership team.

Alexis George has been appointed managing director of insurance and Neil Younger has been appointed general manager, advice and open market channels.

Ms George joins ANZ from ING Asia-Pacific where she held the role of chief operating officer in Hong Kong.

Mr Younger takes on his new role having previously been ANZ's head of practice-based financial planning.

“Alexis has an impressive career in wealth management, spanning over 20 years, and I’m very pleased to have someone of her calibre joining our team as she brings with her a global perspective and passion for the customer,” said global wealth CEO Joyce Phillips.

“I’m also very pleased to appoint Neil Younger to the role of general manager, advice and open market channels. Neil is an experienced wealth professional and in this role will be responsible for unlocking value from our advice businesses and channels globally,” Ms Phillips said.

Ms George has held senior roles at BNP Paribas, AMP and BT Financial Group; Mr Younger has held senior executive roles in wealth management at both the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and BT Financial.

The changes coincide with the departure of ANZ managing director for advice and distribution, Paul Barrett.
