Telstra Super has announced a new chief executive to replace Martin Crowe, who announced his retirement in March this year.

The corporate super fund’s board announced current UniSuper executive manager of member and employer solutions, Chris Davies, as its incoming chief executive.

“The board is delighted that after an extensive search, we have been able to appoint Chris Davies to the role,” said Telstra Super chairman David Leggo.

“Chris has the credentials and experience across the superannuation and financial services industry to lead the fund forward,” he said.

“Chris joins at an exciting time for Telstra Super as we embark on some important initiatives, including the imminent release of our direct member investment product, Direct Access. I am certain our members will be the beneficiaries of his extensive experience through further enhancement of the benefits and services provided by the fund,” he added.

Mr Davies said he welcomed the prospect of leading the fund through its next phase of evolution.

“I am excited to join such a highly respected fund and a great team of very talented people. I look forward to working with the board and staff of the fund to ensure the continuing success of Telstra Super,” he said.
