Former AustralianSuper chair Elana Rubin has joined Qualitas Property Partners advisory board.

Earlier this year Ms Rubin was appointed as a non-executive director at NAB subsidiary National Wealth Management and joined Minister Bill Shorten’s superannuation “Charter Group”.

The 20-year veteran of the investment industry is also a director of Mirvac Group, PPB Advisory and the advisory board of Evans & Partners.

“We are delighted that Elana has agreed to join our advisory board, bringing an unparalleled depth of experience in institutional investing. It further demonstrates the commitment of Qualitas to become Australia’s pre-eminent real estate principal investment firm,” David Krasnostein, chairman of the advisory board said.

“Without doubt, Elana is one of the most respected and experienced people in the superannuation and insurance industries,” he added.

Ms Rubin, who recently retired as chair of AustralianSuper and from the board of life insurers TAL, will join Qualitas effective immediately.

“Qualitas has exhibited an ability to generate sensible risk adjusted investments in its various property financing and investment activities and provides a good solid platform for institutional involvement,” Ms Rubin said.

The investment house, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Arch Finance, invests in equity, mezzanine and senior debt in property development and has over $500 million of assets under management.
