Andrew Cooke has joined the board of AvSuper as an employer nominated director.
Mr Cooke has over 20 years' experience in investment markets and was previously employed as an investment officer of Goldman Sachs and Partners, according to AvSuper.
He will join seven other members on the board and will help to manage AvSuper's $1.2 billion investment portfolio.
Mr Cooke replaces founding trustee and outgoing fund chairman Tom Grant, who announced his retirement earlier in the year.
In a statement, acting AvSuper chief executive Amy Ward congratulated Mr Cooke on his appointment and praised his prior experience.
