The firm said it is moving to expand its footprint into the Australian market.

ECP Asset Management has announced the appointment of Amy Teh to the newly created role of principal.

Ms Teh joins the firm from her previous role of head of investment and consultant relations at Franklin Templeton, where she managed relationships with key client groups and was responsible for the development and execution of the firm’s business strategy.

Her financial services career of over 17 years has also included senior strategy and distribution roles at Colonial First State and the role of investment consultant at Willis Towers Watson (WTW).

ECP announced in February that it had brought its institutional distribution in-house with the appointment of Lachlan Hodgkinson as business development manager.

As principal, ECP said that Ms Teh will focus on partnering with clients to deliver the firm’s investment capabilities and will work closely with Mr Hodgkinson in developing and executing its distribution strategy.

ECP founder and chairman Dr Manny Pohl said that Ms Teh had an impressive track record of maintaining and building solid client relationships and would bring deep industry knowledge and experience to the firm.

“Amy joins the firm at a pivotal time in ECP’s development, as demand for and interest in our investment strategies experiences strong growth,” he said.

“Our new distribution team will be well placed to capitalise on this interest, as we make further inroads into the local market.”

Ms Teh also holds a bachelor of commerce and a bachelor of law from the University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
