The fund manager has brought its institutional distribution in-house.

ECP Asset Management has announced the appointment of Lachlan Hodgkinson as its new business development manager.

Mr Hodgkinson will be responsible for expanding ECP’s national product distribution in the new role, which will bring the firm’s institutional distribution in-house to take over from Principals Funds Management.

“We are moving into a new phase at ECP as we look to expand our product offerings for our clients,” said ECP Asset Management founder and chairman Dr Manny Pohl.

“It makes sense, and it is the right time, to bring Lachlan on board to further build the distribution of our funds by bringing the capability in-house.”

Mr Hodgkinson joins from GMO Australia, where he was responsible for institutional, wholesale as well as consultant relations business development across Australia.

During his time at GMO, he worked with institutional, family office and private clients based in London and Singapore.

He also previously held roles in business development and research capacities at Dimensional Fund Advisors Australia and van Eyk Research.

Dr Pohl said that Mr Hodgkinson’s experience would blend well with ECP, and his appointment was a key step in the firm’s development.

“Lachlan’s knowledge of various markets will help add to ECP’s local and global outlook and help with the company’s growth and expansion,” he said.
