Former KPMG superannuation services director Adam Gee has been appointed head of SuperRatings’ consulting division as the research house expands due to client demand for in-depth services.

“For the last decade, SuperRatings has consistently undertaken consulting projects on behalf of clients, but we have never marketed our consulting services to the industry,” SuperRatings chief executive Nathan MacPhee said.

“Given the depth of our expertise, the significant market insights via our market leading data, and the rate of change in the industry, it is now a natural progression for us to push further into the provision of consulting services.”

In his new role, Mr Gee will manage clients with tender management, product development and compliance work, which SuperRatings said will be in further demand as a result of Stronger Super and other regulation. The appointment is effective July 1.

“SuperRatings provide services to over 80 per cent of the industry and has completed major consulting projects for clients within every sector, but few funds are aware of the depth of SuperRatings’ expertise or data,” Mr Gee said.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to leverage this expertise into funds and to growing the consulting division of the firm.”
