In a statement, State Street said it had appointed Elliot Graham as a managing director in its portfolio solutions team.

The group said Mr Graham would lead State Street’s transition management business in the Asia-Pacific region and work with asset owners and managers across the Asia-Pacific region to restructure portfolios, access liquidity and provide exposure solutions.

Mr Graham has a strong background in financial services transition management, having most recently been at Macquarie, and previously at NAB Asset Management and JP Morgan in similar roles.

“We are delighted to have Elliot join our team. He knows this business well and has extensive experience both from a client and transition provider perspective,” State Street Global Markets head of portfolio solutions for Asia-Pacific James Woodward said.

“This appointment continues our focus on hiring the industry’s best people to service our clients.”

Mr Woodward added that transition management was a key business for State Street and its clients, with the group having built out an experienced cross-regional team.

“With widespread consolidation amongst superannuation/pension funds, together with ongoing changes to asset allocation and manager line ups, State Street is well placed to continue helping funds with their changing portfolio requirements,” he said.

The company confirmed Mr Elliott would commence his role in November.
