The asset manager has appointed Chris Artis as vice president of sales and distribution for institutional sales, based in Melbourne.
Prior to Mr Artis’ appointment he was the head of cash and fixed income at Telstra Super.
Mr Artis has also held a number of senior roles within the superannuation industry, including roles with Vision Super and emergency Services Super.
SSgA managing director and head of relationship management Peter Mitchell said Mr Artis’ experiences make him an “extremely valuable addition” to the business.
“Expanding our distribution team with an individual of Chris’ professional calibre reflects our commitment to building and delivering tailored investment solutions to meet the needs of our clients,” Mr Mitchell said.
