Reporting to head of product and solutions Natalie Morcos, Ms Williams will engage with clients to represent Schroders’ equity funds and strategies, highlighting their performance, positioning and investment approach.

She will lead product strategy efforts to design customised equity-based solutions in partnership with the investment and solutions teams, including bolstering Schroders’ Australian equities biodiversity strategy and SMA development.

Drawing from 12 years of extensive experience within the financial services industry across investment management, client relations and strategy, Ms Williams has demonstrated a diverse professional record from some of the world’s leading financial firms.

Her most previous role was a four-year stint as an active equities product strategist at BlackRock, and prior she was an investment writer at Magellan Financial Group and worked in investment communications at QBE Insurance.

Her career in financial services began as an investment specialist at AXA Investment Managers in London and Paris.

Ms Morcos hailed Ms Williams’ “proven experience” across product strategy, distribution, product development, and client engagement at both a local and global level as being “particularly attractive” to Schroders.

“Her extensive asset class experience, in Australian equities as well as global equities, fundamental and quantitative equities, fixed income, listed infrastructure and investment solutions, make her a good fit for the team,” Ms Morcos said.

The appointment of Ms Williams to the role comes off the back of the launch of the Schroder Australian Equity Long Short Fund last year and the April 2022 appointments of Adam Alexander and Ben Chan to head the concentrated growth Australian equities strategy.

It also coincides with a period of strong performance for the Schroder Wholesale Australian Equity Fund and Schroder Equity Opportunities Fund.

Ms Williams has a Master of Commerce, with a major in applied finance, from École Supérieure de Commerce Et de Management (ESCEM) in France and has an Investment Management Certificate from CFA UK.
