She also previously held senior fixed income positions at Deutsche Asset Management and Threadneedle Asset Management and spent three years in investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston.

“She has many years’ experience in Asian and emerging market credit strategies, and has a deep passion for sustainability,” said Robeco Singapore CEO Nayan Patel.

“With her team, she will oversee Robeco’s sustainable Asian fixed income capability, including our first dedicated Asian fixed income strategy, which is due for launch in the first half of this year.”

Ms Chow will also hold the role of portfolio manager within the credit team with a focus on Asian credits and will report to Robeco’s credit team in Rotterdam.

“I’m excited to join the Robeco team with their long experience and deep knowledge in sustainable investing,” Ms Chow said.

“I look forward to working closely with both teams in Singapore and Rotterdam, exploring new investment opportunities in the Asian fixed income space with a focus on sustainability for our investors.”

Ms Chow’s appointment is in addition to a number of other new hires in Robeco’s Singapore office which the firm has established as its hub for fixed income investing with a strong sustainability focus.

“The team expansion solidifies Robeco’s presence in Singapore, thereby proving our firm commitment to Asian and emerging market fixed income,” said Robeco chief operations investments Erik van Leeuwen.

“The team composition also reflects our conviction that Robeco’s sustainable investing expertise is a key differentiator in our ability to serve our clients well.”
