Redpoint Investment Management has announced the appointment of Hunter Page and Chris Parks as portfolio managers to provide further depth to the firm’s responsible and impact investing capability.

Both Mr Page and Mr Parks were previously with Australian Retirement Trust and each have more than a decade of experience with developing and implementing investment strategies targeting improved environmental and social outcomes.

“With the addition of Hunter and Chris to the team, Redpoint is now well placed to expand on its existing responsible and impact investment capabilities, blending the deep global knowledge that they bring with our active quantitative approach,” commented Redpoint CEO Max Cappetta.

“This expertise will enable us to provide our clients with strategies that have a positive financial, environmental and societal impact while also remaining aligned to our proven investment disciplines.”

At Australian Retirement Trust, Mr Page was responsible for managing the fund’s socially responsible investment option. He was formerly head of new business at impact investment manager Regnan and also previously worked at UBS to develop and implement the firm’s global ESG strategy.

He studied impact investment at Oxford Saïd Business School and has a graduate diploma in applied finance and investment as well as a bachelor of economics.

“Hunter joins the team with a breadth of experience as a sustainable and impact investment specialist spanning Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States and Switzerland in wealth management, asset management, and superannuation roles,” Mr Cappetta said.

Meanwhile, Mr Parks was previously responsible for developing and implementing Australian Retirement Trust’s approach to managing climate change risks and opportunities as a sustainable investment strategist and has held ESG analyst roles at Credit Suisse, Regnan, MSCI and ANZ.

He has a master’s degree in environmental management, a bachelor of business administration, and a certificate in applied finance from Kaplan, and is also currently pursuing further studies in climate change.

“Chris joins us with deep sustainable investment experience as a climate change and impact investment specialist across investment banking, asset management and superannuation,” said Mr Cappetta.

“Together, we look forward to providing investors with a distinct investment strategy to leverage the opportunities presenting from sustainable development and the global transition to a less carbon intensive economy, while also meeting our client’s investment performance objectives.”
