Richard Hopwood from ANZ Wealth joins PPS in the role where he will manage financial adviser relationships and support PPS Mutual propositions in the region.
PPS Mutual director of distribution Brian Pillemer said that he was excited to welcome Mr Hopwood to the team to see how he can benefit the company.
“Richard is a welcome addition to the PPS Mutual team and we are confident that his knowledge and experience within the retail insurance industry will have a beneficial impact as we continue to grow our exclusive partnerships with high calibre financial advisers,” Mr Pillemer said.
Mr Hopwood has spent eight years in business development roles and said that what PPS Mutual is offering is unique to the market.
“I am excited to join the growing team at PPS Mutual – with their unique profit-sharing business model, and niche, client-centric approach to insurance, I believe they are just what the Australian consumer and adviser markets need at this time,” Mr Hopwood said.
This is the second state manager appointment after the group recruited Sabrina Sequeira-Walmsley as NSW state manager in July and is currently recruiting in Victoria.
