Amanda Gillespie has joined Perpetual Investments after 17 years at Lonsec, during which time she progressed from senior research analyst to chief executive of Lonsec Fiscal.
Ms Gillespie was also the chief executive of Lonsec Research between July 2012 and June 2014 (a position now held by Matt Olsen).
Her new role at Perpetual Investments, which will commence in mid-February 2018, will see her take responsibility for the division’s business strategy as well as leading its client solutions and strategy team.
A spokesperson for Lonsec said a search for a replacement chief executive of Lonsec Fiscal is currently underway, and that Ms Gillespie will remain with the firm until the end of 2017 to assist with the transition.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms Gillespie said, “I am excited to be joining Perpetual at this important time for the business.”
“I have always had enormous respect for the Perpetual brand and the calibre of the team, and I am looking forward to working with the business to identify and seize fresh opportunities.”
The appointment comes after Perpetual announced on Monday that managing director Geoff Lloyd would be leaving the firm in June 2018.
