Aman Ramrakha has taken the role, after being with the group for two years.
He will be held responsible for growing the company’s selection services client base, representing Morningstar on client investment committees, and helping with the construction of client-approved product lists and model portfolios in Australia and New Zealand.
Grant Kennaway, director of manager research commented the move will support the growth of the manager research client base as well as Morningstar’s desire to grow its research advisory business.
“We’re seeing more demand for client facing activity to support the implementation of our manager research, including APL management and model construction, and Aman’s proven client skills make him a perfect fit for the role,” Mr Kennaway said.
Mr Ramrakha joined Morningstar in 2018 as director of manager research ratings, after being executive manager of research at CBA, where he led the investment research function for the bank’s advice business.
He has held technical, consulting, and advisory roles at BT Financial Group, Colonial First State, KPMG, and the Commonwealth Private Bank.
Morningstar is currently on the hunt for Mr Ramrakha’s replacement, to lead the Australian manager research ratings team. He will continue in that capacity in the interim.
