The firm has strengthened its managed portfolios business with two senior appointments, expanding national sales leadership and investment specialist capability.
Morningstar has appointed Vijay Srinivasan as head of national sales and Clint Abraham as national director, investment specialist, within its managed portfolios team.
Srinivasan brings more than 25 years of strategic sales leadership experience in the Australian wealth management industry and will lead Morningstar’s national sales team.
He will drive the distribution strategy for the firm’s managed portfolios across licensees, platforms, advice practices and financial advisers.
His most recent role was head of intermediary distribution at Antipodes Group, and he has previously held senior positions at Maple-Brown Abbott, Colonial First State, BlackRock and Barclays Global Investors.
Abraham joins Morningstar with more than 20 years of experience in financial markets, with a track record in developing and articulating investment philosophy, process and positioning, as well as client engagement and investment communications.
He will work alongside account managers and the business development team to support advisers and investors with Morningstar’s solutions and capabilities.
He previously worked at Morningstar and most recently held a role at Elston Asset Management.
Chris Galloway, country leader of Morningstar Australia, said the appointments represented an important step for the business.
“These appointments mark an exciting step forward for our managed portfolios business. Vijay brings exceptional leadership and deep industry experience that will help us strengthen adviser engagement and accelerate growth nationally.
“Clint’s return adds invaluable expertise in investment communication and client engagement, ensuring advisers have the insights and tools they need to deliver outstanding outcomes for investors.
“Together with our teams, they will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to empower advisers and investors,” Galloway said.
