MLC Life boosts innovation with new hires

MLC Life Insurance has appointed a new chief information officer and a host of other tech related roles as part of their commitment to innovation.

MLC Life’s chief innovation and transformation officer Sarv Girn said that the hires were to show commitment to data and technology to cement the company’s leadership.

“Our ambition is to become Australia’s leading and most trusted life insurer.  This means giving customers a simpler, faster and more enjoyable experience when they purchase and use life insurance, supported by world-class technology.”

The new roles are chief information officer, general manager of data and analytics and general manager of sourcing and partnerships. 

Nish Chandran, current CIO at First Data will take on the role of chief information officer where he will manage the new technology capabilities of Sanagi, the program that will transition MLC Life off NAB’s systems. 

Darren Klein joins as general manager of data and analytics where he will be responsible for formulating the company’s strategy for data governance, analytics and insights. 

Fleur Edgerton joins as general manager of sourcing and partnerships and she will focus on strengthening the life insurer’s commercial and supplied management functions.
