ING exec takes board role

ING Australia has appointed the group’s head of wholesale banking in the Asia-Pacific region to its board of directors.

Krista Baetens has taken the role, after holding a number of executive management positions globally, most recently taking up the APAC wholesale banking lead role in January. 

She is responsible for 14 markets in the region, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, India and Indonesia.

Prior to the current role, Ms Baetens led wholesale banking in Singapore and South-East Asia and was chief risk officer for ING Belgium.

Ms Baetens has been with the bank since 1998.
