HUB24 has announced the appointment of Rachel Grimes AM as non-executive director, effective 29 May. Ms Grimes will also initially serve as a member of the audit, risk and compliance committee.

Ms Grimes brings more than thirty years of experience in financial services and accounting to the role, most recently serving as CFO for Challenger until October 2022 where she led the sales process of the Challenger Bank in addition to her CFO duties.

Prior to this, Ms Grimes held senior executive roles across Westpac Group in finance, mergers and acquisitions, and product and sales.

Moreover, she is a fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and CPA Australia.

Commenting on the appointment, HUB24 chairman Bruce Higgins said: “Rachel’s broad executive experience across finance, business strategy and M&A for large ASX listed companies combined with her extensive experience as a director in the not-for-profit sector, further strengthens and expands the board skillset.”

“I look forward to Rachel’s contribution as a director of HUB24 Limited,” Mr Higgins continued.

Currently, Ms Grimes is the deputy chair of the Digital Finance Cooperative Research Centre, a director of the Accounting and Professional and Ethics Standards Board, a director of Loreto Ministries Limited, and the chair of the Finance and Audit Committee for Surfing Australia.

She has also held other directorships including presidency of the International Federation of Accountants and presidency of Chartered Accountants Australia.

Ms Grimes became a Member of the Order of Australia in 2022 for her services to business in the field of accountancy and professional associations.
