Danielle Wood is set to become the Grattan’s head upon the retirement of Professor Daley. She has been selected after a two-month search.
Mr Daley has led the Grattan Institute since it was founded in 2008.
In Ms Wood’s current role, her research focuses on economic policy, including tax and budgets, and government integrity.
She is also the president of the economic society of Australia and has been the chair of the society’s women in economics network.
Previously Ms Wood has worked as a principal economist and mergers director at the ACCC, a senior consultant at NERA economic consulting and a senior research economist at the Productivity Commission.
