Ms Angel will be responsible for licence-linked funds/swaps, custom index services, index subscriptions to financial institutions and the index user community, and representing the Bloomberg Indexes business in Australia and New Zealand.
The appointment follows an announcement by Bloomberg Indexes in April this year that it had acquired UBS Australia’s bond indexes.
Ms Angel previously spent four years with UBS Australia Bond Indexes managing the suite of UBS Australia bond indices and also has experience in equities research.
Bloomberg head of sales for Australia Jeffery Leckstein said he was delighted to have Ms Angel on board as the company works “towards a seamless transition for clients and continues to serve the fixed income community” leveraging on its “heritage in bond markets” and Ms Angel’s experience with leading bond indices in Australia.
