Ms Pun held associate and senior associate roles as a product specialist, product marketing manager and marketing programs manager between 2005 and 2012 before being promoted to a vice president in 2011.

In 2012, she moved into the position of vice president and head of marketing programs for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to her time at Morgan Stanley Ms Pun also worked at Deutsche Bank and Colonial First State.

Fortius chief executive Nicholas Sproats welcomed her to Fortius’ team, noting that the firm was seeking a candidate with a “strong appreciation of all asset classes, had operated over multiple cycles and could help drive the next leg of growth for Fortius”.

“Rebecca is ideally suited to the ‘can do’ ethos at Fortius and is passionate about funds management and delivering the best outcomes for clients,” Mr Sproats said.

“We see Rebecca as ideally suited to our intensive ‘on the tools’ active management, and her expertise will further drive our pursuit for excellence in investment outcomes.”

Commenting on her own appointment, Ms Pun said: “I’m delighted to join such an entrepreneurial and nimble investor as Fortius with its long track record of delivery and outperformance and impressive, contrarian Global Value Property Fund.”

Ms Pun has already commenced in her new role.
