Harry Moore has taken the role, with his focus to be supporting the firm’s future growth prospects.

Liz Hastilow has replaced him in the Australia and New Zealand role, in addition to her duties as the company’s global chief legal and risk officer.

Mr Moore is reported to have more than 20 years’ distribution and investor experience and has been with the firm for the last decade.

“Whilst each region has its differences, there are benefits to a global client relationship and sales approach,” he said.

“Through the support of a strong, experienced team of sales professionals a global approach will help us better understand and [communicate] themes in each region that may impact other areas.”

First Sentier has adopted a new leadership structure, which has led to a number of promotions. In Australia, senior director for institutional business Peter Heine has been boosted to head of institutional, southern region while senior business development manager Jeannene O’Day has become head of institutional sales, northern region.

Further, Ross Crocker, head of consultant relationships, now has an expanded remit to manage the Australian services team and will continue to work with colleagues in each region to coordinate the firm’s engagement with global consultants.

Mr Moore will take over distribution activities from FSSA Investment Managers managing partner and managing director of Asia, Michael Stapleton and managing director, EMEA Chris Turpin, who remain in their roles.

Mr Turpin has also been appointed global director of corporate development, which will entail leading the development of new opportunities for the firm.
