Fintech Business Award 2019 Winners announced

The 2019 winners of the Fintech Business Awards were announced at a gala dinner last night in Sydney.

The third annual Fintech Business Awards received over 200 submissions across twenty categories making it the biggest one yet.

Ninety-six unique companies were in the running for the 2019 awards and in the end 15 unique companies were recipients of awards.

Investor Daily and Fintech Business editor James Mitchell congratulated all the finalists and said that the winners were a good representation of a thriving industry.

“The fintech industry is still growing in Australia and is internationally renowned for the solutions they are bringing to the financial sector, and our finalists tonight were able to stand out in that market and prove why they are the best. 

“Congratulations to all of our winners and we look forward to seeing your growth and continuous innovation,” he said. 

Trade Ledger was one of the big winners of the evening taking home both the Fintech Start-up Business of the Year as well as Lending Platform Innovator of the Year.

SocietyOne also took home two awards, receiving the big award of the night Fintech Business Excellence Award (Company) and Lending Innovator of the Year.

Class Limited received the award for Software Services Innovator of the Year for 50 employees or more and Accounting Innovator of the Year.

Meanwhile mypropserity won Software Services Innovator of the Year for less than 50 employees along with the Financial Advice Innovator of the Year.

Ruth Hatherley from Moneycatcha took home Fintech Entrepreneur of the Year and Fintech Business Excellence Award (Individual).

In her speech Ms Hatherley thanked Fintech Business as well as the team that got her there.

“Thanks to Fintech Business, the judges, our partners and customers: most importantly to my inspirational team at Moneycatcha and my family. This award is for you.”

Other winners of company awards included Advice RegTech, Claim Central Consolidated, RateSetter, Raiz Invest, Verrency, Pocketbook and Spaceship.

Individual award winners were Jodi Stanton from SendGold, Peta Tilse from Sophisticated Access and Charmian Holmes from The Fold Legal.

Congratulations to all the winners of the 2019 awards.
