The ifa Future Forum 2022 is designed to arm advisers with the practical solutions they need to ensure long-term relevance of their practice in the advice industry.

Registrations have opened for the free one-day event, to be held on Wednesday, 16 November 2022 at Montage in Sydney and hosted by InvestorDaily’s sister brand, ifa.

Centred on the theme “the great advice reset”, the jam-packed, think tank-style conference will present advisers with an opportunity to reassess the way they conduct business and choose how they will adapt to the modern demands of financial advice and emerging clientele.

It will also inspire advisers to advocate for change within their industry while simultaneously arming them with strategies to work creatively.

Throughout the conference, financial advisers, business owners, and executives will gain insights from a variety of speakers on how they could expand and evolve their advice model, become the trusted advisers for clients planning their retirement, leverage the great advice reset to boost their balance sheet revenue, and increase their business valuation.

Speakers, such as Elixir Consulting senior consultant Graham Burnard, will offer essential strategies advisers need to maximise their practice capacity and crush capacity constraints by deep diving into the most efficient and productive processes in the industry.

Ignite Global CEO and founder Kim Seeling Smith will help advisers combat the war on talent by providing handy tips for recruitment and retention to attract top talent into their practice.

Audere Coaching & Consulting founder and business coach Stewart Bell and a panel of speakers will unpack the strategies advisers could consider to expand and evolve, and target new markets, seek intergenerational advice opportunities, and adopt goals and centric-based sales approaches.

Alongside this, founder and director of Forte Asset Solutions Steve Prendeville will gaze into the future of the advice market and offer an outlook for advice businesses in 2026 and beyond and provide strategies to future-proof practices and boost balance sheets.

He will outline how advisers could assess the affordability and profitability of their offering and advice model, and provide case studies for practice succession planning, risk factors, key metrics for success, and tips on how to increase business value.

Commenting on the event, ifa editor Maja Garaca Djurdjevic said she is particularly excited about this year’s Future Forum.

“I am really looking forward to this year’s event because it tackles some really crucial issues and is aimed at helping the industry as a whole [to] work towards building a more solid, sustainable and promising future.

“Titled ‘The Great Advice Reset’, we’ve planned a huge day for advisers, bursting with must-see sessions from practical masterclasses, led by leading industry experts and thought leaders, to invaluable panels. This year’s Future Forum really is a refreshed take of a much-loved event,” Ms Garaca Djurdjevic said.

“And importantly, the 2022 Future Forum will provide a platform for all financial advice professionals to collaborate and begin to iron out issues that will hopefully lead to a better, more efficient future for the advice industry.”

InvestorDaily would like to thank its partners for their invaluable support, including gold partners Charter Hall, HUB24, and Implemented Portfolios (who were all on board at the time of launch on Thursday, 25 August).

The ifa Future Forum 2022 will be held as a free full-day event on Wednesday, 16 November 2022 at Montage in Sydney.
