Perpetual Investment Management managing director David Deverall has stepped up to chair the powerful lobby group Investment and Financial Services Association (IFSA).
Deverall takes over from AMP’s new chief executive Craig Dunn, who will remain as an IFSA director.
IFSA announced changes to its board yesterday following its annual general meeting on Monday.
The board of directors is elected for 12 month terms.
Current deputy chairman, Vanguard Investments Australia managing director Jeremy Duffield, will retain his position on the board.
Macquarie Financial Services executive director Peter Maher has replaced John Pearce, former chief executive of Colonial First State, as co-deputy chair.
Colonial First State’s chief executive Brian Bissaker and Franklin Templeton Investments Australia managing director Maria Wilton were previously filling casual vacancies but have been made directors for 2007and 2008.
