Lynn Thompson has been announced as the new head of the company’s Singapore office after being responsible for launching and operating the AI hub for Deloitte Digital and Firemark’s InsureTech Hub.

Ms Thompson said that Data Republic provided an exceptional solution for organisations and that the changing landscape needed innovators like Data Republic.

“The rapidly changing data landscape and a need for greater governance and control over the data and data insights controlled by businesses has driven the requirement of solutions like Data Republic globally,” she said.

Ms Thompson said she was excited to join the team and be able to boost data innovation in Singapore.

“We need robust frameworks to protect citizens whilst unlocking the value of data for organisations such as banks, airlines and government service departments,” she said.

Data Republic co-founder and CEO Paul McCarney said Ms Thompson brought a great deal of experience to the team after her work in start-ups.

“Lynn brings a great deal of experience to the team and has a strong understanding of the risk and value of data as well as its ability to unlock exponential value for companies who utilise it,” he said.

Mr McCarney said the company was committed to growing its Singapore office and Ms Thompson was a large part of that.

“Lynn will be focused on growing our Singapore team and partnerships over the next 12 months; I’m excited by what Lynn, our team and Singaporean customers will be able to achieve,” he said.
