Michelle Warren, previously of Century Plaza Group, will take on the new role and will oversee all reporting matters within the network.
Ms Warren will be involved with the implementation of a national technical consultation process, quality monitoring and training as well as providing technical accounting advice.
HLB Association’s chairman Tony Fittler said the new role would allow HLB member firms to better support their clients.
“The continuing changes to the legislative and regulatory environment, and the increasing demands of the accounting standards framework, mean that our clients must spend more time on developing and reporting financial information than ever before,” he said.
Mr Fittler said that after the growth of the network, it was vital that the association had another level of support and that was where Ms Warren would be able to assist them.
“Michelle’s focus on financial reporting, as well as her experience in audit, will be invaluable in supporting our clients manage these challenges,” he said.
