CommInsure has revealed two new appointments as the final part of a recently announced restructure of its business.

CommInsure life operations general manager Claire Roberts has been appointed wholesale life general manager and will overlook the provision of risk products and services to mass market customers through industry funds, corporates, master trusts and platforms.

A statement from CommInsure said Roberts’ appointment completed the set of four new general manager roles that were created to head each of CommInsure’s lines of business.

Last month, it announced that former Financial Wisdom general manager Tim Browne would head up its retail advice business, while CommInsure investments general manager Greg Ballard would head its superannuation and investments business and business services general manager Gareth Newton would lead the direct life business.

CommInsure’s fifth line of business was already being led by general insurance general manager Paul Fahey, a company spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, succeeding Newton as CommInsure business services general manager will be marketing head Michael Browne, who will support the new lines of business with strategy, marketing, distribution support and organisational development.

“The five pillar stones are now in place for each of our dedicated lines of business and we are now highly focussed on each of our customer segments,” CommInsure managing director Paul Rayson said.

“The fact that these appointments have again been made internally demonstrates the calibre of talent within CommInsure.”

This restructure will allow CommInsure to develop more compelling strategies and targeted offerings for each business, and be more effective at delivering on these plans and customer service promises, a statement said.
