Coller Capital has raised a record US$17 billion – its largest fund to date – cementing secondaries as a core asset class and marking what the firm calls ‘secondaries’ finest hour’.

The world’s largest dedicated private markets secondaries manager announced the final close of Coller International Partners IX (CIP IX), capping a record fundraising cycle for Coller’s private equity secondaries platform.

The fund attracted a broad global investor base, with commitments from more than 250 investors worldwide. The LP roster includes leading pension funds, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, asset managers and financial institutions.

With more than 70 per cent of capital already deployed, CIP IX offers investors the diversification benefits associated with private equity secondaries.

Chief investment officer and managing partner Jeremy Coller said 2025 had marked another record year for the secondary market, as heightened volatility and rising demand for liquidity drew more investors to the asset class’s many advantages.

“Secondaries are no longer seen as a tactical portfolio rebalancing tool but a core component of diversified portfolios. We are entering secondaries’ finest hour and I’m delighted our investors trust us as the most experienced secondaries investor with more than thirty five years of experience in the market.”

Coller’s private equity secondaries platform comprises co-mingled funds, co-investment vehicles, separately managed accounts and equity perpetual funds. CIP IX invests globally in both LP-led and GP-led secondary transactions, with a focus on high-quality portfolios.

The firm said the strategy is designed to deliver resilient, risk-adjusted returns through diversified exposure to high-quality equity assets, in line with Coller Capital’s long-standing approach to private equity secondaries.

Coller Capital’s assets under management now total US$50 billion ($74.8 billion).

Deputy managing partner Remy Kawkabani said the firm is honoured by the trust and support that our investors continue to show in our secondaries platform.

“For over 35 years, CollerCapital has helped global investors deploy significant capital while achieving portfolio diversification and strong, risk-adjusted returns. As the world’s largest dedicated manager of private markets secondaries, we remain deeply committed to building on this track record – and are as energised as ever to continue delivering for our LPs.”
