In the new position, Ms Elliott is held responsible for marketing technology and digital media, digital experience optimisation, marketing strategy and partnerships, and brand marketing and sponsorships.
Citi said it will also move its market and customer insights function to be part of Ms Elliott’s responsibilities.
She joined Citi in 2015 as head of acquisition marketing for the bank’s wealth management division before going on to lead acquisition for the bank’s credit cards and personal lending business.
Prior to Citi, Ms Elliott was an associate director at Macquarie, responsible for marketing to the bank’s retail and institutional clients.
Commenting on her position, Ms Elliott said: “It’s an exciting time of rapid growth and change at Citi, and in the industry more broadly.
“I’m fortunate to be surrounded by a team of exceptional marketers – and people – and I look forward to working with my team and my colleagues across the business to continue to create and market financial solutions that help Australians meet their financial goals.”
